Bec was always a sporty kid! She played every sport that was available to her. Hockey, cross country running, mountain biking, Oz-tag, gymnastics & basketball were all in her repertoire.

She was introduced to mountain biking at 10 years old, riding on her sisters bike following her Dad and brother around the trails of Mount Majura in Canberra. Bec was a talented runner but the serious nature of such young athletes and coaches was a bit of a turn-off compared to the fun and relaxed environment of the local mountain bike races, which made it a no-brainer when she eventually had to make a decision where she would focus her energy!

Bec raced her first National Championships in Eildon, Victoria in 2004 where she won the Under 15’s.  Since then, Bec has won every National Championships and in 2018 took her fifth Elite title bringing her total tally to 15.

After riding, Bec has her heart set on getting a Daschund puppy name Lenny!
